My artwork speaks from my lived experience as it connects outwards to my family, community, all living creatures, the Earth, and the Universe. I explore the flexibility and strengths of Inuit culture, and gently challenges viewers to be more aware of Labrador’s ever-changing natural, social and geopolitical boundaries. I seek to open a dialogue on issues of colonization, reconciliation, resource extraction, and responsible environmental stewardship. My artwork is also an invitation to reflect, to dream and to celebrate the beauty and mysteries of life.
